The most common form of education nowadays is sending your children to mainstream school. Why wouldn’t you? When you think of school this is what comes to mind along with the uniforms, the classrooms, schoolbags, the hustle and bustle of being dropped off and picked up...
But what happens when you notice your child is struggling, falling behind in class, even maybe getting bullied. They start acting out, refusing to leave the house to go to school, not attending, running away, displaying aggressive behaviour.
They simply do not fit in the mainstream school mould. What do you do then? Do you keep having argument after argument? Over and over again? Letting it affect their behaviour and mental health? Affecting your personal and social life?
Here at Out to Help we understand this, after all, why try and force a square peg in a round hole? It simply doesn’t work..
We offer an alternative way of learning to all those children that mainstream is not suited for.
Our alternative provision is set up to accommodate and help these children access education, learn life skills, make new friends, offer them a different take on life.
We give them a new way of learning by changing the setting and by dropping the formalities, it makes them less anxious and more accessible. They engage more if they feel comfortable and safe.
All lessons and activities are tailored to their needs, we won’t ever force them into something they are not sure of.
Our staff are here to lend a helping hand if needed and will always listen to them. We do it, however, in a nonchalant manner which immediately puts the children and young people at ease and under no pressure.
We welcome children with varied backgrounds and experiences.
Whilst some of our focus has been on promoting and delivering alternative educational methods for children, here at Out To Help we are able to offer educational experiences for young adults with additional needs.
Spending time on a equestrian setting in a safe and controlled manner can help bring out positives with some many of our visitors.
We appreciate that all our visitors have difference needs and expectations, but we're more than happy to discuss how we can help offer supportive methods for those in your care.
